It’s become increasingly clear that the titans of the tech industry have eschewed technology when it comes to their kids, raising the question, “What did they know that the rest of us didn’t?” Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Tim Cook are all on record for restricting its use, while many other industry insiders have come forward expressing regret for the societal impact of technology on our kids.
Now there is a growing consensus in Silicon Valley that the benefits of screen as a learning tool are overblown, and the risks for addiction and stunting development seem high. The debate in Silicon Valley now is about how much exposure to screens is okay.
