The Social Emotional Well-Being Scale
When we first started reading up on the impact of social media, we kept hearing the term social emotional well-being and that teens with lower scores were more susceptible to the downside risks of social media. We’ve adapted this Social Emotional Well-Being scale, so that you don’t have to go searching for one.
While no means a substitute for a professional evaluation, it may at least give you a starting point to validate or dispel your initial concerns. So much has been written about increased anxiety and depression for this digital generation that it can be a good practice to check-in. Invite your teen to take the assessment and discuss the results with you.
