Are You On The Amazon Diet?
Amazon is now America’s favorite tech company, and it’s not hard to understand why. They make our everyday lives EASIER, from delivering groceries to saving us from running endless errands to the Target, OfficeMax, Walgreens, etc.
You have to realize the impact of their reach when you’re buying everything from bathing suits to oversized planters, and their customer service standards are unparalleled, especially when they’ll politely entertain a complaint from your eight-year-old. One friend’s husband judges the health of the economy by the pile of Amazon packages at their doorstep, and there’s no question that many homes now resemble a shipping and receiving department, and breaking down boxes is a new household chore.
From massive data centers to personal shopping, meal kit packaging to relaunching bricks-and-mortar bookstores, Amazon’s at the center of it all. Many are nervously watching from the sidelines as Amazon continues its Pacman-like crunch. Amazon is permeating almost every facet of our daily lives, and 44% of all household purchases are now made through Amazon. One has to wonder about the amassing of such market power. Are you on the Amazon Diet?
