How Can I Limit Who My Child Can Communicate With?
Apple recently announced that it will update Screen Time later this fall to give parents control over who their children can communication with. By managing their kid’s contacts, parents can limit who their child texts, calls and FaceTimes, as well as who can contact their child. A further cause for celebration–parents will be able to get in touch with their kids, even when their devices are otherwise locked down.
If you can’t wait and are a Verizon customer, you can set up Trusted Contacts through the Verizon Smart Family app which starts at $4.99/month. AT&T does not appear to offer this functionality.
